A Few Things Worth Knowing

• Three separate boundary layers. Elementary, middle, and secondary catchments are each drawn independently — your assigned school at one level doesn't predict the others.
• French Immersion has its own catchments. FI programs run on separate boundary maps from the English stream, with their own PDFs on the SD23 site.
• Busing follows English catchment only. Per SD23 Policy 470R, district transportation is provided to a student's English catchment school — this applies whether the student is enrolled in the regular or French Immersion program.
• Boundaries can change. As Kelowna grows and new schools open, SD23 periodically redraws catchment lines. Always verify current boundaries for a specific address rather than relying on historical information.
• Independent and private schools (e.g. Kelowna Christian School, Immaculata, OKM Montessori) aren't catchment-restricted, but have their own enrollment and tuition processes outside SD23.
